KARAFURU 's KIRIKO earrings are made entirely by hand by the young fourth-generation owner of Edo Kiriko, from cutting out the crystal glass to finishing it into jewelry.

The traditional Kiriko patterns, "Kikutsunagi" and "Nanako" patterns, fully demonstrate the skilled techniques and precision of the artisans.
"Kikutsunagi" is a pattern made up of a series of tiny intersections that look like many chrysanthemum flowers, and it has the meaning of "eternal youth and longevity" and "lasting joy."
"Uo-ko" has many diagonal lines and small squares lined up, and when the light reflects off them, they look like fish eggs lined up, which is why they are called "na no ko" or "uo-ko," and they are imbued with the meaning of "prosperity of descendants." In addition, because they look like fish scales lined up, they represent the shedding of the skin, and are a warding off evil spirits, as they are said to "ward off evil and regenerate."
