KARAFURU 's KIRIKO earrings are made entirely by hand by the young fourth-generation owner of Edo Kiriko, from cutting out the crystal glass to finishing it into jewelry, fully demonstrating the skilled techniques and precision of the craftsman.

The "nanoko" pattern has many diagonal lines and rows of small squares, and when the light reflects off them, they look like fish eggs, which is why they are called "na no ko" or "naoko," and are imbued with the meaning of "prosperity of descendants." In addition, because they look like a series of fish scales, they represent the shedding of the skin, making them a warding off evil and a rebirth.
