Silver dew pearl earrings
Makie is one of the lacquer craft techniques.
A traditional technique in which pictures or patterns are drawn on the surface of lacquerware with lacquer, and before it dries, gold, silver or other metal powder is sprinkled on it to make it stick. This is the technique used to create patterns on lacquer boxes and soup bowls.
Silver dew pearls are made by incorporating this Maki-e technique.
These pure silver dew beads have long been used in lacquer art to represent "dew beads". Usually, they are embedded one by one on pictures of flowers, leaves, etc., but in this case, holes are drilled into the pearls and multiple dew beads are embedded in them to create dots. The lacquer artist was initially surprised by this novel idea.
As the product actually took shape, it was a perfect fusion of traditional techniques and modern design, and we were impressed with the cute and interesting design.
The dewy silver shines elegantly and, combined with the pearls, creates a dramatic look for the ears.
These delicate and cute earrings are suitable for any season: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
